More great news for the residents of uptown Hoboken. A real estate source close to Hoboken, Inc. noted that West Elm is likely coming to a retail spot near Willow 14 – the under construction mixed-use building on the corner of 14th and Willow.
West Elm would be taking a retail space on 15th and Willow, a block north of the new Trader Joe’s opening on the site (we can’t wait).
Large scale retail establishments are lacking in Hoboken. And while still a rumor, we’d be happy to see West Elm open and bring jobs, revenue and more consumer options to our city.
Northwest Hoboken continues to see progress and development with the new rock climbing gym coming to 15th and Willow. We strongly advocate for the development of residential and commercial establishments in the area. As it’s outmoded industrial-zoned past doesn’t make sense today (as expressed by its many residents).
We also hope that the new 1400 Hudson development brings enterprising retail and commercial establishments to the neighborhood.
