Big news for the residents of Hoboken. A source close to Hoboken, Inc. confirmed that New York City based SoulCycle is coming to 1400 Washington Street on the corner of 14th and Washington.
The location is the former headquarters of the Hudson Reporter. And sold last year to Thor Equities for $4.9 million in what has been Thor’s first foray into the Hoboken commercial real estate market.
For the uninitiated, SoulCycle is a fitness company with studios in nine U.S. states. Founded in 2006, it offers indoor cycling workout classes and a cult like following. The Hoboken site will be akin to their Manhattan locations (open seven days a week from 6am – 10pm). and this studio will feature a maximum of 55 participants per class.
The location will also feature a nine seat juice bar from Juice Press, a company that is the largest Manhattan-based, multi-location, organic, juice and food company. Founded in 2010, Juice Press aims to bring a healthier, cleaner, more transparent lifestyle brand to the marketplace. And has more than 25 locations in the New York City metropolitan area.
We can’t wait to welcome both of these enterprising businesses to Hoboken! There’s no current timeline as to their opening date but we will provide those details as soon as they are released.
The uptown area of Hoboken is shaping up quite nicely with enterprising businesses like Trader Joe’s, West Elm and now SoulCycle and Juice Press. Each business brings jobs, tax revenue, and most importantly enterprising things for Hoboken residents to do.
