I would say the the majority of the United States does not have affordable housing problems, at least not to the extent that we do in the New York City or San Francisco Bay areas. Affordable housing can include low-income housing, but the two are not the same thing. When I am talking about affordable housing problems, I mean cities where you are paying around $3,000 a month for a 1 bedroom apartment.
One of our favorite places to frequent in Hoboken is the Pilsener Haus & Biergarten, on the corner of 15th and Grand. Whether it’s their awesome decor, trivia on Wednesdays, or just the need to have a great drink in an awesome setting, we think it’s one of Hoboken’s premier locations.
Trader Joe’s is almost ready to debut in Hoboken at Willow14, the new mixed-use development on the corner of Willow and 14th Street. We’ve previously written about Trader Joe’s coming to Hoboken and couldn’t be happier it’s closer to reality.
Hoboken’s late night eating options just got a bit more delicious. Insomnia Cookies, famed late night purveyor of baked goods, just announced they are opening a new location in Hoboken, at 56 Newark Street. The press release notes that they’ll be giving away a free cookie on opening day.
