Multiple sources have confirmed to Hoboken, Inc. that Ernst & Young (EY) is coming to the Hoboken waterfront. The venerable accounting and consulting firm will set up shop at 121 River Street, occupying four floors and approximately 170,000 square feet. The firm is targeting a move in date of December 2017.
EY joins Newell Brands and Jet.com as the third billion dollar business to join the Hoboken waterfront in the past two years – bringing jobs and the critical ancillary revenue that every enterprising community needs.
It’s interesting to note that EY received $40 million over 10 years with a Grow New Jersey Assistance Program grant to relocate to Hoboken. The state estimates that EY moving to Hoboken will offer a net benefit to the state of over $87 million in the first 20 years. We love seeing local governments actively compete and make areas more business-friendly.
Welcome to Hoboken, EY!
