Things are shaping up quite nicely in uptown Hoboken in front of the new 1400 Hudson Toll Brothers Development. The area of the street in front of the building has been completely repaved and we noticed that there are a couple dedicated Zipcar parking spaces at the corner of 15th and Hudson.
The City of Hoboken recently announced a public meeting on August 31 to discuss the redevelopment of the area at 7th Street and Jackson. The plan for the area calls for 2 acres of public parks, open space, a municipal gymnasium, advanced storm water detention to aid in flood mitigation and mixed residential and retail components.
Washington Street, the main thoroughfare and business district of our city, is about to be completely changed – for the better. The city of Hoboken developed a plan to revitalize the street over the past year, and surveying work already started this week.
One of Hoboken’s best attractions is Pier 13, at 13th Street and Sinatra drive. For those who haven’t been, it hosts food trucks and a beer garden, with unobstructed views of Manhattan.
Pier 13’s upcoming private event caught our eye as it differs from their normal business practice.
