More great news for the residents of uptown Hoboken. A real estate source close to Hoboken, Inc. noted that West Elm is likely coming to a retail spot near Willow 14 – the under construction mixed-use building on the corner of 14th and Willow.
1400 Hudson, the uptown residential condo development by Toll Brothers, has been under construction for the past several months. What was once an empty parking lot is on its way to being one of Hoboken’s premier residential buildings. And we now have the renderings of what the finished product will be.
Our city continues to make progress day in and day out. The Neumann Leathers building, at the south end of Hoboken, is planned to be rehabilitated. Per a press release copied below, the plan “seeks to preserve and rehabilitate the existing Neumann Leathers industrial complex and protect and enhance the existing artist community. In addition, the plan would create new retail spaces and affordable housing, add public open spaces, reduce localized flooding, and extend the street grid at Grand Street.”

Jet.com announced today via an email (copied below) that it is dropping its $50 annual membership fee. Headquartered in Hoboken, Jet.com is already the fourth largest online retailer, despite launching a mere three months ago.
